What is Evo ICL?
The EVO ICL is an additive lens implanted in your eye behind the iris and in front of your natural lens. The ICL is made of a biocompatible material called collamer that works in natural harmony with the chemistry of your eye.
Because it’s biocompatible, the EVO ICL is an excellent choice for patients with dry eyes who may not qualify for other vision correction procedures like LASIK. EVO does not cause dry eyes, making it far more comfortable as you start your visual freedom journey.
The EVO ICL can correct nearsightedness from -3.00 diopters to -20.0 diopters, along with 1.0 to 4.0 diopters of astigmatism.

The EVO ICL offers vision correction that’s sharper, clearer, more vivid, and has greater depth and dimension than other procedures. The main advantage of the EVO ICL over traditional corrective laser eye surgery is that patients may experience significant improvement in the quality of their vision after the lens is implanted. When compared to the results of corneal refractive surgery, the EVO ICL may produce superior vision quality as evidenced by fewer higher-order aberrations. What Happens During the EVO ICL Procedure?
On surgery day, numbing drops ensure you’re completely comfortable throughout the process. Your EVO ICL journey begins with a quick pre-procedure step where your surgeon creates two microscopic openings in your iris. Your surgeon will then make tiny, precise incisions to insert the EVO ICL lens. The lens is then gently positioned behind your iris and in front of your eye’s natural lens. We perform the procedure on one eye at a time, and most patients are surprised by how comfortable and quick it is. After your procedure, you’ll use prescribed eye drops and may take oral medication as directed. We’ll see you the following day to check your progress. Since your vision will be adjusting, please bring someone to drive you home safely.
