You Can Transform Your Vision!

When is Refractive Lens Exchange appropriate?

Prevent the need for cataract surgery.

Refractive Lens Exchange might be appropriate if you are in the early stages of presbyopia and developing of cataracts. This time period is estimated at between 40 and 65 years old. At this age due to presbyopia and early cataract development there are limited vision correction options, but RLE has emerged as a successful option.

Our referred surgeons offer years of experience and  are considered RLE experts using only the latest technology combined with a suite of advanced technology implants designed to help our patients see at multiple distances.

The surgeon you choose will sit down with you and customize your vision plan for the rest of your life. They will discuss your specific visual system and what lens implant would suit you best. Even if you have astigmatism we have advanced technology lens implant to correct near, far and intermediate vision along with astigmatism.

How It Works

Working together, you and your surgeon will select the ideal lens technology based on your vision goals and eye anatomy. The RLE procedure typically takes about 10 minutes per eye, with both eyes usually treated on the same day. First, we gently remove your natural lens through a tiny incision. Then, we place your new, customized lens in the same location for immediate vision improvement.
